Comox Valley · Strong Bones Blueprint membership

Careful and safe aren't the same thing.

Your bones need the right kind of challenge — not more fear, and not reckless exercise.

Strong Bones Blueprint helps you build strength, balance, confidence, and bone-loading capacity through progressive, appropriately dosed exercise — with expert guidance every step of the way.

Small groups. Every session supervised. When you're ready to be considered for the program, start with the pre-evaluation form.

Here's exactly what you're signing up for.

  • A personally reviewed pre-evaluation form with advice on next steps and resources.
  • A required one-on-one baseline assessment before you start (60 min) — this is a separate, non-refundable fee-for-service appointment, part of the evaluation process to establish your baselines prior to joining a class
  • Twice-weekly, 45-minute ONERO® sessions in a small supervised group (4–8 people)
  • Flat pricing: $250 CAD/month (bursary available for income-limited members)
  • First month is your decision window — that's 4 classes over 2 weeks. If it's not the right fit, tell your instructor by the end of your 4th class for a 50% refund on that month's membership (assessment fee is separate and non-refundable).
  • Pause your membership up to 3 weeks, twice a year, with no loss of your spot
  • Partner scan discounts (BoneHealth BC)

This is a one-year commitment, because bone remodels on a seasons-long timeline, not weeks.

The reframe

A low bone density diagnosis shouldn't make your world smaller.

A diagnosis of osteopenia or osteoporosis can make exercise feel intimidating. You may start wondering:

  • Can I lift weights?
  • Can I jump?
  • What if I fracture something?
  • Should I just stick to walking?

Those questions are understandable.

But avoiding movement isn't the same as protecting your bones.

Your bones are living tissue. They respond to the forces placed on them. The goal isn't to avoid every challenge — it's to introduce the right challenges, at the right dose, in the right way.

That's where expert guidance matters.

Being careful and being safe are not the same thing.

Being safe doesn't mean avoiding everything that challenges your bones.

It means understanding what your body can handle, choosing appropriate exercises, progressing gradually, and knowing when and how to modify an exercise.

Strong Bones Blueprint isn't about pushing through fear. It's about replacing fear with knowledge, skill, and confidence.

What this is not

This isn't “no pain, no gain.”

This isn't about telling you to ignore pain, lift as heavy as possible, or push through something that doesn't feel right.

It's here to help you understand how to train intelligently. That means:

  • Appropriate exercise selection
  • Individualized starting points
  • Progressive loading
  • Technique and movement quality
  • Balance and fall-risk reduction
  • Modifications when needed
  • Gradual progression as your capacity improves

Strong bones aren't built by doing more. They're built by doing the right things consistently.

You don't need less movement. You need better guidance.

You don't have to figure out bone-strengthening exercise on your own.

Strong Bones Blueprint gives you a structured path to progressively challenge your bones and muscles while learning how to exercise with confidence.

The difference

More than a workout plan. It's a roadmap for stronger bones.

You'll learn:

  • Why bone responds to mechanical loading
  • Which types of exercise matter
  • How to start at an appropriate level
  • How to progress over time
  • How to build strength and balance
  • How to exercise confidently rather than cautiously guessing

The evidence

This program isn't new, and you don't have to take it on faith.

ONERO® class logo

In the original clinical research behind this method, 86% of participants increased bone density in their spine, and 69% increased it in their hip. This is the same program, delivered under license, right here in the Comox Valley.

86%

increased bone density in the spine

In the original clinical research behind the ONERO® class.

69%

increased bone density in the hip

Same original research, same supervised, bone-specific protocol.

And here's what's been recorded since, as the program moved out of the trials and into real clinical practice at The Bone Clinic:

82%

increased lumbar spine bone mineral density

Among 415 ONERO® participants, 82% increased their lumbar spine bone mineral density; 78% increased femoral neck (hip) density.

+20.2%

back extensor strength

The muscle group that holds you upright. Kyphosis (rounding of the upper back) fell 7.1% on average.

-18.8%

time on balance testing

Alongside faster Timed Up and Go (-10.3%) and sit-to-stand (-11.7%) — the measures that track fall risk.

91%

fewer new fractures

Reported in a three-year longitudinal report from The Bone Clinic (2022), in a supervised clinical setting.

Findings come from the LIFTMOR and LIFTMOR-M randomised controlled trials and The Bone Clinic's ongoing outcome data, published by Dr. Belinda Beck, PhD and colleagues. ONERO® is designed to help with osteoporosis or osteopenia; talk with your own provider about your full range of treatment options.

Your bones can still get stronger.

You don't need to become afraid of movement because of a diagnosis.

You need a plan. You need appropriate challenge. And you need to know how to progress.

Strong Bones Blueprint gives you the roadmap.
